vThe cryptocurrency exchange-traded fund market experienced dramatic swings this week, with Bitcoin ETFs rebounding from heavy losses while Ethereum funds finally broke their extended outflow streak.

Bitcoin ETF Recovery After Sharp Decline

Spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted substantial inflows on Friday following a challenging period marked by significant redemptions. BlackRock’s IBIT led the recovery effort, with smaller contributions from BITB, ARKB, and BTCO helping restore investor confidence. Notably, Grayscale’s GBTC also contributed to the turnaround after facing persistent outflow pressure.

This recovery followed one of the most challenging days in the Bitcoin ETF market’s history. The previous session saw nearly every major issuer experience substantial redemptions, with IBIT, FBTC, and GBTC all posting significant outflows. The volatility represents one of the largest single-day redemption events since these products launched in early 2024.

Ethereum Breaks Losing Streak

After enduring eight consecutive sessions of withdrawals, Ethereum ETFs reversed course with meaningful inflows on Friday. Fidelity’s FETH drove the turnaround, marking an important shift in sentiment.

The recovery comes after a difficult stretch spanning November 11-20, during which Ethereum funds experienced one of their longest and deepest withdrawal periods since launching. The extended outflow streak raised questions about institutional appetite for ETH exposure, making Friday’s reversal particularly significant.

Solana ETFs Continue Strong Performance

In contrast to the volatility affecting Bitcoin and Ethereum products, Solana ETFs have maintained consistent momentum. Since their introduction, the five Solana-focused funds have accumulated substantial net inflows, with Bitwise’s BSOL accounting for the lion’s share. These products have now achieved a ten-day consecutive inflow streak, outperforming broader altcoin market trends.

Market Outlook

Despite Ethereum’s sharp weekly decline and substantial liquidations of leveraged positions, derivatives data suggests top traders are cautiously rebuilding long exposure. Futures funding rates have risen modestly, indicating early stabilization signals even as overall bullish sentiment remains subdued.

The cryptocurrency ETF landscape continues to evolve rapidly, with institutional flows serving as a key barometer for market sentiment and mainstream adoption trends.
